Serious about play
We believe that children are inherently creative and that play is the work of the child – it is the heart of learning. Our evidence‑based activities nurture curiosity, confidence, and joyful discovery and lay the foundation for children to learn about themselves and their world through play.
In Partnership with Parents.
At Radiance Children’s Centre, parents are partners - because you know your child like no one else. Through communication and involvement, we problem solve and address the needs of your child together.
We use two-way communication, including a daily child-friendly app, monthly newsletters, frequent family social events, bi-annual parent-staff meetings, frequent formal and informal meetings, and private tours.
committed to healthy diets.
We care deeply about your child’s growth and well‑being, and we believe that healthy food helps fuel happy play, learning, and big smiles. That’s why our menus are thoughtfully planned using Alberta’s food recommendations, and all snacks and lunches are freshly prepared on‑site by our chef. We make sure children are offered a wide variety of foods, helping them explore new flavours and develop healthy eating habits in a positive, pressure‑free way.
You’ll also get recipes, tips, and short videos so you can bring their favourite Radiance snacks home. Our centre is a nut-free environment, and staff pay close attention to each child’s allergy and dietary restrictions.
evidence-based child development.
At Radiance Children’s Centre, we focus on supporting your child’s brain development and social‑emotional well‑being during these important early years. We recognize that every child learns in their own unique way, and we use gentle, research‑based approaches to guide how we plan our days. This means your child gets opportunities to explore, try new things, ask questions, and grow at their own pace.
Each day, children enjoy engaging play‑based activities that nurture curiosity, creativity, and confidence. Our knowledgeable and caring educators use trusted frameworks and programs—such as Alberta’s Early Learning & Care (FLIGHT) framework and Theraplay —to support emotional regulation, positive relationships, and inclusive learning. Through hands‑on play, joyful interactions, and supportive guidance, we help children feel safe, capable, and excited to learn.
